February is National CTE Month

CASD is proud to celebrate February as National CTE Month. We are fortunate to offer 8 PDE approved Career and Technical Education programs in our high school. Some recent stats from our district:

170 students in grades 10-12 participate in a program
Last year our students earned 244 industry recognized certifications
Our overall NOCTI/NIMS scores (end of program testing) proficient/advanced last year was 83%
In October, we inducted 25 students into National Technical Honor Society (NTHS)
In January, we earned 1 gold, 3 silver and 5 bronze (one of these was a team of 4 = 9) medals at the District 10 SkillsUSA competition
Our Early Childhood program has a pre-apprenticeship program with Early Connections
We have 15 articulation agreements with local colleges/post-secondary training schools in which students can save time and money when opting to go on for more education in their field at those schools
We have 15 seniors participating in our Capstone program who are out working with local employers in their field
