Corry Middle Senior High School Hosts Veterans Day Breakfast

Corry High School hosts approximately 40 Veterans and their guests for a meet and greet with Corry students.  The Seneca High School's Air Force Jr. ROTC program was on hand to provide the colors and play the national anthem.  The guests were treated to service and conversation with local students who served doughnuts and coffee.  The District also presented a certificate of appreciation to VFW Post 264 for their support of the students through scholarships and essay contests over the years.   "It was a school effort to put this on.  We had posters and thank you cards created and students were tasked with getting the word out.  The teachers promoted in their class and the students were involved in the planning and execution of the event."  said Social Studies Department Head Mike Woods who helped organize the event with the rest of the Social Studies Department.
